Bengaluru, Oct 16 : Industrial AI company Augury on Friday announced the opening of a new engineering hub in Bengaluru to strengthen its research and development capabilities and accelerate the development of artificial intelligence solutions for manufacturers worldwide.

The new centre will focus on advancing agentic capabilities within Augury's Industrial AI Workforce, launched in May. The platform uses role-based AI agents to support reliability, maintenance and operations teams in improving manufacturing efficiency.

The Bengaluru facility expands Augury's global footprint, complementing its existing centres in the United States and Israel. The company is investing in research and development in India, building on its $75 million funding round in 2025 to support product development and global expansion. The facility has been established in partnership with Bengaluru-based global capability centre provider SecondHQ.

"India is an important part of Augury's long-term investment in engineering and Industrial AI," said Anoop Mohan, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Augury, highlighting the country's technical talent and industrial expertise.

Ganesh Iyer, Senior Director of Engineering and India Site Leader, said the Bengaluru centre would bring together engineering professionals and industrial experts to develop reliable AI agents that manufacturing teams can trust on the shop floor.

Augury's Industrial AI platform combines machine data, operational context and the practical knowledge of plant teams to provide actionable insights and support better operational decisions. The company serves more than 800 plants across six continents, including facilities in the food and beverage and consumer packaged goods sectors.

Dilip Sawhney, Managing Director of Rockwell Automation India, welcomed the expansion, stating that it would create opportunities for closer collaboration in connecting industrial AI insights with maintenance operations.

Sanjeev Gupta, CEO of Karnataka Digital Economy Mission, said the investment further reinforced Bengaluru's position as a global engineering and research hub.

Abhilash Raghavan, CEO of SecondHQ, said the new centre reflected India's emergence as a strategic destination for engineering, artificial intelligence and innovation.
