Yogi Directs Officials to Assess Rain Damage Within 24 Hours, Ensure Timely Compensation

Lucknow, Oct 11 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to assess the damage caused by heavy rainfall within 24 hours and ensure timely compensation to affected people as per prescribed norms.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to assess losses involving human lives, livestock and crops with urgency and sensitivity, ensuring that affected families receive assistance without unnecessary delay.
He also directed officials to intensify relief and rescue operations in waterlogged areas, safely evacuate stranded people and ensure the drainage of accumulated water within 24 hours. All necessary resources must be deployed to expedite these operations and prioritise public safety, he said.
Reviewing the situation, Adityanath directed officials to restore uninterrupted electricity supply in rainfall-affected areas within the next 48 hours. The concerned departments have been asked to act swiftly to remove disruptions and ensure the early restoration of power.
The Chief Minister also instructed district magistrates and officials of the concerned departments to visit affected areas, assess the ground situation and take immediate steps to provide relief to those in distress.
Emphasising the need for prompt action, he said the administration must prioritise relief measures in the worst-affected areas and ensure that assistance reaches affected families without delay.
Adityanath reiterated that the state government stands firmly with farmers and the general public during the difficult situation and directed officials to ensure effective implementation of relief and rehabilitation measures.
