Mumbai, Sep 21 : Allu Arjun and Atlee’s upcoming film Raaka has entered the Guinness World Records for a unique motion-capture feat, with 37 performers captured simultaneously in a real-time motion-capture exercise.

The record-setting exercise was conducted in February 2026 and received official certification from Guinness World Records on September 15. Guinness World Records senior adjudicator Swapnil Dangrikar presented the certificate to actor Allu Arjun and director Atlee at a special ceremony.

The motion-capture session involved 37 actors ranging in age from four to 70 years. The challenge was to accurately capture the performances of all the actors simultaneously within a single capture volume.

As many as 92 optical motion-capture cameras were deployed for the exercise, supported by systems for capture, calibration, networking, synchronisation, real-time Unreal Engine visualisation and facial capture.

Expressing his delight over the achievement, Allu Arjun said the record marked an effort to push the boundaries of cinema and establish a new global benchmark. He credited director Atlee’s vision, the hard work of the entire team and the support of Sun Pictures for the achievement.

Atlee said he had heard about Guinness World Records since childhood and never imagined that his team would one day hold a record of its own. He described the recognition for simultaneously capturing 37 motion-capture assets as a testament to the team’s dedication and hard work.

The film’s technical team developed a specialised motion-capture pipeline and workflow to meet the scale and requirements of the project. According to the producers, the record was made possible through the collective efforts of the technical team, VFX department, cast and crew.
