Anil Kapoor recalls Krishna Kapoor’s warmth and love for feeding people

MUMBAI, Sep 24 : Actor Anil Kapoor took a trip down memory lane on India Ke Top 1% – The Anil Kapoor Show, recalling the warmth and hospitality of Krishna Kapoor, wife of legendary actor Raj Kapoor and a mother figure to him.

The Kapoor family has long been known for its love of food and the joy of feeding others. A similar sentiment emerged on the show when contestant Nishant shared how he would use the Rs 1 crore prize money if he won. He said he would first repay his home loan and then open a restaurant.

“I don't know how to cook, but I love feeding people,” Nishant said.

His words immediately reminded Anil of Krishna Kapoor. Recalling her affectionate nature, Anil spoke about how she lovingly cared for everyone at the dining table, repeatedly asking guests if they had eaten enough and encouraging them to sample different dishes.

“Krishna Aunty was my mother's best friend, Rishi and Randhir Kapoor's mother, and like a mother to me. I've never met a better host in my life. She fed everyone with such love and generosity. The joy of feeding is unmatched, I believe, even in eating. That's why they say, the way to the heart is through the stomach,” Anil said.

The actor's recollection turned the moment into a heartfelt memory of food, family and the affection expressed through feeding others.
