Riyadh/Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 9 : The Indian Embassy in Riyadh has issued an urgent advisory to Indian nationals residing in Saudi Arabia, urging them to remain highly vigilant and strictly follow safety instructions in view of the prevailing security situation.

Amid recent developments and reported attacks, the Embassy has appealed to the Indian community to exercise extreme caution and take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and the Embassy are closely monitoring the evolving situation, the advisory said.

As part of the precautionary measures, Indian nationals have been advised to avoid leaving their homes unless absolutely necessary. They have also been cautioned against sharing unverified reports, photographs or videos related to military movements and explosions on social media platforms.

The Embassy has urged members of the Indian community to rely exclusively on official updates issued by the local authorities and refrain from circulating rumours or misinformation that could trigger unnecessary panic.

To provide assistance during emergencies, the Embassy has established a dedicated help centre that will operate round the clock to offer consular support and guidance to Indian nationals.

A toll-free helpline, 8002471234, has been announced for Indian expatriates requiring assistance in emergency situations.

The Embassy has reiterated its appeal to all Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia to remain alert, follow official advisories and cooperate with instructions issued by the local authorities.
