AYODHYA, Sep 21 : Air Marshal (Retd.) Jitendra Mishra on Monday took charge as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya.

Mishra will operate from an office set up at the PFC Centre located within the Ram Temple complex. His primary responsibility will be to oversee facilities and arrangements for the large number of devotees visiting the temple every day.

As part of his duties, the CEO will regularly review darshan arrangements, the movement of devotees, pilgrim facilities, security, and other activities related to the temple complex. He is also expected to monitor ongoing on-site construction work, operational arrangements and facilities for pilgrims.

Mishra was appointed as the first CEO of the Ram Temple Trust in early September. His regular presence in Ayodhya is expected to strengthen the Trust's administrative and operational functioning.

Following his assumption of charge, Mishra will familiarise himself with the temple's existing operations and review various arrangements. He will also hold meetings with the temple staff and officials concerned.

With the increasing number of devotees, help desks and information centres in the temple complex are being further activated to provide systematic assistance on darshan, entry, facilities and other essential information.

The appointment of a dedicated CEO is also expected to bring greater coordination in areas including administration, staff functioning, security, pilgrim facilities, offerings and coordination among various agencies involved in temple management.

With Mishra taking charge, responsibility for implementing administrative decisions related to the temple's day-to-day management will now be more centralised.
