Lokayukta Upalokayukta B. Veerappa Inspects BUDA, Smart City Offices

Belagavi, Oct 29 : Upalokayukta Justice B. Veerappa on Thursday (Oct 29) visited and inspected the offices of the Belagavi Urban Development Authority (BUDA) and Smart City.

During his visit to the Urban Development Authority office, he reviewed staff attendance registers, cash books and movement registers and obtained details from the officials. He directed the authorities to inspect newly approved layouts and submit a report on the provision of roads, electricity connections and drainage facilities.

He also examined various files, including details of civic amenity (C.A.) sites allotted on lease by the authority.

Later, visiting the Smart City office, he inspected staff attendance records and movement registers. He instructed every staff member to make entries in the cash registers both in the morning and evening.

He also obtained details of the development works undertaken by Smart City and suggested that the office roads and premises be repaired and maintained properly.

Registrar Aravind, Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Prasanna Desai, District Legal Services Authority Member-Secretary K.N. Shivakumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vijayakumar Honakeri, Zilla Panchayat Planning Director Ravu Bangarappa, Corporation Commissioner M. Karthik, BUDA Commissioner and officials from various departments were present on the occasion.
