Monthly SC/ST Grievance Meeting Held Under Belagavi Police Commissioner’s Chairmanship

Belagavi: The monthly grievance redressal meeting of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) leaders and members falling under the jurisdiction of the Belagavi City Police Commissionerate was held at the Police Commissioner’s office on Thursday evening under the chairmanship of the Police Commissioner.

Around 100 to 120 SC/ST leaders and members participated in the meeting and brought various issues and grievances to the notice of the Police Commissioner. The Commissioner patiently heard all the issues raised by the participants in detail.

The Police Commissioner instructed the police officials present at the meeting to give priority to police-related grievances and resolve them immediately. Regarding issues falling under the jurisdiction of other departments, officials were directed to bring them to the notice of the concerned departments through official letters and take necessary steps for their resolution.

DCP Narayan Bharamani (Law and Order) and DCP Niranjan (Crime and Traffic), along with ACPs of all subdivisions, Police Inspectors of various police stations, officials from the DCRE Police Station, Revenue Department, Belagavi City Corporation and Social Welfare Department, were present at the meeting.

The meeting was organised to address the grievances of SC/ST community leaders and members and initiate necessary measures for their resolution.
