Rural Development Commissioner Y S Patil inspects VB-G RAM G works in Bailhongal

Belagavi, Oct 31: Rural Development Commissioner Y S Patil on Saturday visited the site of an ongoing drainage canal construction work under the VB-G RAM G scheme in the Sampagaon Gram Panchayat limits of Bailhongal taluk and inspected the progress of the work.

During the visit, he interacted with the labourers working at the site and listened to their grievances. He also verified the labourers' NMMS attendance records and Rural Employment Guarantee Job Cards and gathered information about the implementation of the scheme.

Visit to Gram Panchayat office:

Later, Patil visited the Sampagaon Gram Panchayat office and inspected Registers 1 to 7 maintained under the VB-G RAM G scheme, along with files related to various works.

He reviewed the measurement books, material payments and wage disbursements to labourers. He also obtained details from the officials and issued various instructions and directions regarding the effective implementation of the scheme.

Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Sanjeev Junnur, Assistant Director (Rural Development) Rajendra Morabad, Gram Panchayat Development Officer Vijayalakshmi Anigol, Technical Coordinator Nagaraj Yaragudri, IEC Coordinator Shivamurtaiah Hiremath, technical assistants, Gram Panchayat staff and labourers were present on the occasion.
