Three Killed, Two Injured as Car Rams Stationary Lorry in Telangana

Karimnagar, Sep 18 : Three persons were killed and two others injured after the car they were travelling in collided with a stationary lorry at Tadikal in Shankarapatnam mandal of Karimnagar district on Thursday night.

According to police, the five occupants were travelling from Nizamabad to Warangal along National Highway-563 when the accident occurred.

The deceased were identified as Visveswara Rao of Warangal, and Prabhu and Shudhakr of Nizamabad. They were working as staff at a 400-KV substation at Yanampally in Dichpally mandal of Nizamabad district.

The injured, identified as Praveen and Mural, were shifted to the Karimnagar Government General Hospital for treatment.

The accident caused severe traffic disruption on the highway for nearly two hours. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
