According to a special post-monsoon bulletin issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the cyclone is likely to make landfall in India on October 28, with its impact expected to reach Nepal from the night of October 29.

On October 30 and 31, Koshi, Bagmati, Madhesh, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces are likely to experience moderate rainfall in several areas, with heavy rain expected at some locations. Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces may also receive moderate rainfall, while isolated areas could witness heavy downpours.

High-hill and Himalayan regions are also likely to face the risk of heavy snowfall, snowstorms and avalanches, Nepal news reported.

The NDRRMA has advised tourists to avoid travelling to high-altitude areas and urged residents to stay away from riverbanks and other flood-prone locations. People have also been advised to avoid non-essential travel during the period.

The authority has urged the public to closely monitor official weather forecasts and early warning alerts and follow safety advisories issued by the concerned agencies.
