New Delhi, Oct 24 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on Sunday to inaugurate a garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi, witness an Indian Air Force (IAF) aerial display over the Ganga and inaugurate the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) state-of-the-art Data Centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute in Bhubaneswar.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office on Saturday, Modi will inaugurate Arvind Limited's garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi at around 11 am. He will subsequently attend the Air Force Day Aerial Display-2026 at Namo Ghat at 1 pm as the chief guest before travelling to Bhubaneswar for the inauguration of the RBI facilities at around 4.45 pm.

The garment manufacturing unit is expected to boost the textile and apparel industry in eastern Uttar Pradesh and generate employment, particularly for women. With Arvind Limited's international market presence, the facility is also expected to connect garments produced in Varanasi with global markets and strengthen the region's industrial base.

At Namo Ghat, Modi will witness the aerial display organised to mark the 94th anniversary of the Indian Air Force under the theme "Wings over Ganges". The event will showcase India's military aviation capabilities and coordination among the three armed services.

The display will feature several combat, transport and rotary-wing aircraft, including the indigenous Tejas Light Combat Aircraft, LCH Prachand, Su-30MKI and Rafale fighter jets. Aircraft from the Indian Navy and Army will also participate.

The programme will include performances by the IAF's Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team and Sarang Helicopter Display Team, showcasing precision formation flying and synchronised helicopter manoeuvres.

In Bhubaneswar, Modi will inaugurate the RBI's new Data Centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute, aimed at strengthening the technological infrastructure and cybersecurity preparedness of India's banking and financial sector.

The data centre will comprise four advanced facilities designed to host critical payment and settlement systems and other important financial infrastructure. It has received the Uptime Institute's Tier IV certification, an internationally recognised standard for data centre reliability and resilience.

The Cybersecurity Training Institute will focus on specialised training, research and capacity building in cybersecurity and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and quantum computing. It is expected to strengthen the ability of financial institutions to identify cyber threats and protect digital financial services.

The Prime Minister's engagements across the two states will highlight the government's focus on employment generation, indigenous defence capabilities and strengthening the security and resilience of India's digital financial infrastructure.
