Three Killed, One Critically Injured in BMW Crash on Mumbai Coastal Road

MUMBAI, SEP 20: Three persons were killed and another critically injured after a BMW car crashed on the Mumbai Coastal Road in the early hours of Sunday, police said.
The accident occurred around 5.20 am near Lotus Jetty, opposite Lala College, when the black BMW was travelling from Marine Drive towards Haji Ali.
According to the Coastal Road Control Room, the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle while speeding, resulting in the crash.
All four occupants were immediately shifted to the civic-run Nair Hospital, where doctors declared three of them brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Shanay Gajjal, 21, and Dhirya Seth, 17, while the identity of the third victim, a 25-year-old man, was yet to be established.
The fourth occupant, an unidentified 20-year-old man, was admitted to the trauma ward and was stated to be in critical condition.
Police have detained the driver and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the accident. Further details are awaited.
